Ruben Gallego, born to immigrant parents and raised by a single mother in Arizona, is a Marine Corps combat veteran who served in Iraq. After returning, he pursued public service, beginning with the Arizona State House before being elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2014. Gallego has spent over a decade advocating for veterans, working families, and Arizona’s diverse communities.
Gallego has been a strong voice in Congress for veterans' issues, national security, and healthcare access. As Chair of the Intelligence and Special Operations Subcommittee, he has worked on critical national defense policies. He also played a key role in securing federal funding for Arizona, benefiting infrastructure, healthcare, and education.
