Cindy Axne (D) is the current representative from Iowa's 3rd congressional district, first elected in 2018.
Cindy Axne is a 5th generation Iowan, a mom, a small business owner, and a local community activist.
Cindy earned her degree from Univ of Iowa and worked in strategic planning and development for the Tribune Company in Chicago. She earned an MBA from Northwestern Univ. She and her husband John moved to Wisconsin where they started their small business. With 2 young toddlers, Cindy and John moved ti Iowa to raise family in hometown in 2005.
From 2005-2014, Cindy worked for the State of Iowa to help increase efficient and effective use of tax dollars. Since 2014, she has been focused on growing the digital design firm she runs with her husband John.
Cindy is a strong Democrat. In the 2018 election cycle, she was also endorsed by Emily's List and NARAL.
