Jon Ossoff was born February 16, 1987, in Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated from The Paideia School in Atlanta (2005), then earned a B.S. from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in 2009, and an M.Sc. from the London School of Economics in 2013.
Early in his career, Ossoff worked as a national-security staffer and legislative assistant focusing on foreign affairs and defense policy for Georgia Congressman Hank Johnson. After that, he entered the private sector: from 2013 to 2021 he served as CEO of a media production company — Insight TWI — producing investigative documentaries that exposed corruption, organized crime, and war crimes overseas.
In the January 2021 runoff election, Ossoff was elected to the U.S. Senate — becoming Georgia’s first Jewish senator, and at 33, the youngest Democratic senator elected in decades. Since taking office on January 20, 2021, he has fashioned a reputation as a pragmatic, results-oriented legislator striving to deliver for everyday Georgians — regardless of partisan gridlock.

There's a deeper story here about corruption in American politics which is something the Democratic Party needs to focus on. Trump in my view is a symptom of the deeper corruption in our politics. How is that we have a demagogue who promises to tear it all down elected twice to the presidency? It's in part because much of the American public has lost faith in our political system.
