Chris Deluzio was born on July 31, 1984, and raised in western Pennsylvania in a union family that taught him the values of hard work, fairness, and standing up for your neighbors. He earned his undergraduate degree from the United States Naval Academy, then served as an officer in the U.S. Navy, deploying overseas in support of national security missions. After his military service, Deluzio attended Georgetown University Law Center, where he earned his law degree and went on to work as a voting-rights attorney and civil-rights advocate.
